Table
Display the full CSV matrix with cell formatting, colors and bars.
Set /config/type to table to render a native table. It supports cell
alignment, borders, number and date formats, padding, widths, text styles,
overflow, responsive priority, merges and horizontal bars.
Data and selectors
Tables display the full /data CSV matrix. Row 0 is the header and column
0 is the first column. Empty cells and comma-only rows retain their positions.
A selector such as 1: 1: addresses the body cells after the first row and
first column. See slicing for inclusive ranges,
header names and negative indices.

Region,Revenue,Change
Example North,1200,0.25
Example South,800,-0.1
Example West,1000,0.05The ten cell files live under /config/table/cell/: align, border,
chart, format, merge, overflow, padding, priority, text and
width. Their instructions apply in order within each file. Cell colors
use /config/colors with the bg and fg planes. See the
cell formatting reference
for each grammar.
Editing and diagnostics
Use the playground to edit a table, or open an existing
plot at /u/<user>/p/<plot>/playground. The playground copies its data and
configuration into a local session; edits do not write back to the saved plot.
The Console reports configuration errors with their file and line. Select an error to open that file, correct the instruction, and the preview updates. A fatal parser error appears in the preview while the last successful render remains visible.
When Chat is enabled for your account, Athena can edit the cell files, colors and session data. For example, ask it to round values, sort rows or add a column. Data changes appear in Data → Raw and in the Chat diff; Undo/Redo is available in Raw. Local edits survive reload. Refresh on a cloned plot restores its saved data and configuration.
Athena can inspect the same diagnostics and request an image of the current table. The preview supports independent light and dark themes. Tables render as HTML under either the SVG or Canvas preference.
E-mail tables
The playground supports native table. The
e-mail subset, mtable, targets mail
clients and is not accepted by the playground.
