Description

The below description is supplied in free-text by the user

Every hour of the last 60 days

A custom D3 plot: one heatmap per bidding zone, with hour of day across and date down. You can see the morning and evening peaks, the cheap midday solar hours, and the gap between south and north. All panels share one sequential colour scale, and hovering a cell shows its price.

How it's built

The source is src/plots/power-heatmap/index.js, bundled with esbuild by make build. It reads the theme from render.theme, so it re-skins in light and dark mode and in any doc or mail that embeds it.

Data is date,hour,NO1,...,NO5, one row per hour for the last 60 days.

Kept live

The render step of the strompriser job (job/main.py in the onboarding repo) rewrites the data twice a day from the strompriser space: a dataset of Nord Pool day-ahead prices that the job's ingest step keeps current. Prices come from the free hvakosterstrommen.no API, in NOK/kWh excluding VAT and grid tariffs.
