What this monitor measures

Each bar is the number of distinct article URLs returned by the Norwegian edition of Google News for the quoted keyword "julebrus", grouped by the article's publication date into Monday–Sunday weeks in Europe/Oslo time.

  • Window: 4 November 2025 through 4 November 2026 in this initial snapshot. The first and current weeks are partial and shown with faded bars.
  • Unit: matching articles, not the number of times the word occurs inside an article. A match may be in the article body rather than its title.
  • Source: Google News search. Dated weekly RSS searches are deduplicated by Google News article URL. Searches are split into smaller periods if a response reaches the result cap.
  • Coverage caveat: observed indexed results, not an exhaustive count of all Norwegian news coverage. Search-index coverage can change, so historical counts can be revised. Zero means the search returned no indexed articles, not proof that no coverage existed. Syndicated stories at different article URLs count separately.

Update status

Initial backfill complete: 136 distinct articles in 53 weekly buckets. Automatic refresh is not yet active.

Daily refresh code has been prepared to maintain a rolling one-year window, but publishing it is blocked because the account's Git author email is not available in this session. The owner needs to supply a commit email before the code can be committed, pushed, tested and scheduled. Until then, this chart remains the snapshot above.

The prepared refresh code writes weekly counts, article metadata and a summary to its outputs. Failed fetches stop publication rather than being substituted with zeroes.
